It seems as if the older you get, the more your life encounters busy situations! The more you take on the more responsibilities you have. Rather than feeling caught up in all the mess, think of it as an honor to be able to have such opportunities to enjoy a wonderful life you live! You see, most adults are busy people with their own schedule trying to live day-to-day. As time passes, stress piles on, tasks go not taken care of and sleep can easily be forgotten about. Before I continue I would like to share a little bit about my personal schedule:
Monday: Wake up at 6:30am. I’m at work at 7:30am. Get off work at 3:00pm. Training at studio at 4:30pm. Teaching at 6:30pm until 7:30pm. Go to Utah Valley University to teach the Taekwondo club from 8:00pm until 9:00pm with Samy.
Tuesday: Wake up at 7:30am. I’m at school by 8:30am. Out of school by 10:00am. I start teaching at 3:00pm until 8:30pm.
Wednesday: Wake up at 6:30am. I’m at work at 7:30am. Get off work at 3:00pm. At the studio by 6:00pm until 8:30pm to teaching. Training at 8:30pm until 9:30pm.
Thursday: Wake up at 7:30am. I’m at school by 8:30am. Out of school by 10:00am. I start teaching at 3:00pm until 8:30pm.
Friday: Wake up at 8:30am. At work by 10:00am. Get off at 3:00pm. At the studio by 4:30pm until 6:30pm.
Saturday: Wake up by 7:00am. Training at 8:00am until 9:30am. Teaching from 9:30am until 12:00pm.
Sunday: LAZY DAY!
Now of course throughout my schedule, I have time to workout besides only training at the studio. I would not consider myself an athlete otherwise. Also, I am a full time student as well. That being said:
Now that you know my schedule, you may be thinking “Wow! He has quite the busy schedule! Just how does he do all of that”? Well, I must tell you it’s all about managing your time and balancing life and your health. Everyone may do it a bit differently, but I will tell you what works for me!
1.) Sleep – If you are not averaging at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night, you are messing up! You really need those 7-8 hours every night. If you think you don’t have time to get that many hours of sleep a night, then you should really make time for it. It will help you remember tasks, stay on top of your school, keep you alert during your workouts and allow you to maintain a busy and active lifestyle!
2.) Multivitamin – Costco sells their basic multivitamin and it does wonders! It gives me energy and it makes me feel alert and well! Trust me, you will really love it!
3.) Worry Less and Focus More – Worry less about what may become of an unfinished task and focus more on completing the task. You will see results change!
4.) Make Time For Yourself (And Your Significant Other) – I can’t tell you how important it is to make time for yourself or for both yourself and your significant other. This will help you relieve stress and put your life on hold for a bit. Sit back and admire the view!
5.) Drink Lots of Water! – Every time when I go to work I always have a refillable water bottle with me. Water actually can keep you feeling energized and hydrated. It really works! No seriously, it works!
I really hope these 5 steps to dealing with a busy schedule helps you! These are really easy and basic steps you can implement for yourself to better yourself, your health and your overall wellness all while conquering the world!
